This biennial event of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and the
Anglican Church of Canada draws over 1000 youth and youth leaders from across Canada to spend 4 days together, sharing their faith and experiencing ways to grow in their faith. Blessed Events has assisted 5 of these events ranging from site selection to full event management.

This biennial conference is a joint ministry of these two denominations, a reflection of the full communion entered into by the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada and the Anglican Church of Canada in 2001.

The Lutheran World Federation Assembly, normally held every six years, is the LWF’s highest decision-making body. The Assembly consists of representatives of the member churches of the Federation. In July, 2003, representatives from over 70 countries gathered at the Assembly in Winnipeg, Manitoba to make major decisions on the future direction of the LWF, share experience about issues facing their churches, and worship together celebrating their cultural diversity.

The Lung Association’s Better Breathing Conference is one of the largest annual respiratory education programs in Canada. It attracts healthcare professionals from many disciplines including respirologists, nurses, respiratory therapists, physical and occupational therapists from across Canada to hear about the latest in respiratory health.

I have had the amazing opportunity of working with Heidi Wilker of Blessed Events for our 2009 and 2010 conferences.

Blessed Events managed this annual conference from 2005 – 2010. This 3-day conference involves between 500-600 delegates, over 60 exhibits, over 100 presenters and over 10 major sponsors.

The Ecumenical Advocacy Alliance, a ministry of the World Council of Churches, is a broad ecumenical network for international cooperation in advocacy on global trade and HIV and AIDS. Biennially, it hosts an ecumenical pre-conference to the International AIDS Conference.
